Ok so they are banging so hard on the floor one night at 9pm
that i went up there and said "Please stop the banging, this
is much too late for you to be doing such heavy noisy work in
a residential building" They reply, "Well we are working".
What work they could be doing in a doctor's office that causes
them to have a need to move furniture around like that all day
is unfathomable to me.

After I asked them to stop at about 9:10pm, they were so noisy
for the entire next hour that it was unbelievable, so I finally
had to go up to the landlord and ask him to tell them to stop at
10pm.

The next morning I noticed that the light fixture in the living-
room (a flourescent light fixture, large but light weight) had
partially come out of the ceiling about 2 inches in one corner.
One could see the screw just started falling out of the ceiling.

Do I need to file a police report about this? How do I officially
protect myself from any possible problems that could result from
what they are doing upstairs?
