I assume you have a lease. That controls, so read it carefully. It might contain a clause that says that the coop's House Rules are incorporated by reference, which in English means that the House Rules are considered part of your lease. Also, do you have a copy of the "coop rules"?? If so read them, if not insist on a copy. Let us know more.
