Don't have anymore verbal contact with the landlord and show your evidence to the judge...and yes since this happened to my sister. If you settle your waiving your rights and have to pay ALL the landlord's lawyers fees. DO NOT SETTLE. Your evidence should include some letters of people visiting you during the time you landlord claims you were subletting. And bring your friend with you and have him/her bring strong proof of were the've been residing.
