but think as the landlord does profit/ loss. Think in the future, for
example if he can get $4000 a month for the same apartment in th future

a half millon dollars to move, and he could make a half million as well,

: I was thinking of offering to my landlord that I would move out for an agreed cash sum. I still have 18mos left on my $1732 rent stabalized apt. It would be in his interest due to when I move, due to the vacany percentage, the rent would top $2000 and therefore no longer be under rent stabalization. If I stay I could continue to keep re-newing at only the regulated 2% a year.

: My concern is if we do not agree and I stay, does my offer constitute grounds for him not to renew my lease in 18 mos???
