The bad news: on my 1993 "Premium" savings account, 2%. If memory serves, less than 4% for all those years...

But what really counts is how much the bank account where your deposit was kept paid, if anything at all. See the legal details about security deposit interest here on Tenant.net: in one of those Landlord/Tenant basic info manuals from the main menu (one even gives the Law reference), then contact the LL and/or bank if the $$$ is worth the trouble.
