I dont have any documentation (pictures, etc), but I want to resolve this without going to court. I will write the form letter, but I dont think thats going to scare them. Any recommendations?

Background...
Landlords claims are obviously fabricated just by looking at the bill. Damage to carpet, paint. This is crap. I left the apartment in excellent condition and they are trying to collect for normal wear and tear. Also bill claims extensive amount of work, but only one hour labor billed. These people are idiots. I wrote, I admit, a distasteful letter. Response was simply that I did these damages and that they have documentation.

Should I ask for this documentation? What should be my next steps?
