When i was in housing court pro se, the landlords attorney tryed shouting at
me to go into the hallway.In the confusion of it all, you dopn't know
if the ccourt is calling you or the adversary. Well, all i did was stay, in the
court andsay to the court officer am i required to answer the lawyers
questions? I knew i was not, but, they sort of figured I would fall
into the trap.Well , there atttorney tyyed to then talk to me
in the court room , I still refused figuring they dragged me into court
in the first place, then they started to act as if they were my attorney, giving me kind advice
about the proceedings.but i did not talk to them unless the judge directed me

Thats true you don't even have to talk to there attorney, in the court house.If the judge tells
you to have conference out of hsis or her presense request that you have
a court officer present.

You said you filed bankruptcy, have you filed for 'poor person' status in Housing Court? Don't they assign you an attorney if they grant it? Or is that only with the Guardian status?

: : Some practical advice, if you don't mind: do not go to court alone, if at all possible. Do not speak to that attorney at all. Stay in the courtroom, near the clerk or the officer. Get there earlier than them, stay in the courtroom after they leave.
