There is no requirement for heat in a bathroom or water closet. In most modern high-rise apartment buildings, there is no heat in the bathroom. Sometimes the apartments on the top floor have an electric heater in the bathroom which is activated when the bathroom light is turned on.

: I live in a pre-war 1 bedroom, tub-in-kitchen apartment. The toilet is in a water closet outside the apartment, in the hallway. I dont share it with anyone, it is designated for my apartment only, and I have the only key. Is the landlord required to provide heat to the water closet, or is it exempt from the lease?
