Does Order To Show Cause Preclude one from making an appeal

Had a judge issue a decision after trial.
I disagree with the decision and want to file an appeal.

Does me having gotten an Order To Show Cause to force the LL to accept payment to satisfy the judgment now preclude me from filing an appeal?

In other words can they say that since I got an order to show cause to force them to accept payment I agreed with the decision and now cannot appeal?

I would appreciate any case law on this.

You're asking the wrong person. As you know, we're not lawyers. This appears to be more of a legal issue than a landlord/tenant issue. The Q you pose could appear in other types of cases.

On my gut, I would think it probably would not preclude your filing an appear, but of course the other side can argue whatever they wish. If you don't pake payments, you could be evicted. So I don't think that would stop an appeal.

But you should get a legal opinion from an attorney. Sorry, I don't have better information.
