I NEED SOME SLEEP PLEASE HELP

Postby neilou » Wed Oct 08, 2003 11:33 am

Hello,
We just rented a 1br apt with a corporate lease (my company is paying for the rent) this is the good part.
The bad part is that the bedroom is facing the street and it's VERY noisy. We have lots of trucks passing by and from 4.00 am we are awake.
When we rented the place, we talked to the LL and we asked her if it was quiet (it's my only concern!). She said yes it is, and few days later when I talk to her
about the fact that she told us it's quiet and it's not, she said: this is subjective!
I want to break the lease and move somewhere else but the LL doesn't want us to leave.
Is there any legal way to break the lease? Am I stuck with that even though she lied to us? Please help, I really fed up I need some sleep!

One more info: The sublease agreement (it's a co-op) is under my company's name.

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP.
