City Water Board To Vote On Rate Increase -- increase proposed is 6.5%.

For homeowners this will mean higher water bills and for LLs a yes vote and increase would mean increased building costs.

I wonder if this was figured into the new proposed rent guidelines for next year, or will they be used as an excuse to push the rent increases up even more?

Maybe not "more" but the RGB could continue to vote for rent increases that are higher than what've we've been seeing over the past 10 or 15 years.

It's possible their motive was to avoid hitting tenants with one massive rent hike but rather a series of substantial rent hikes.
