Super doesn't fix a leak in app. above

I have water dripping from the ceiling for 2 months already. I asked the super at least 5 times, but it still keeps happening .... What would be my next step ? Certified mail to management company ? Is there a template of that letter or something ? I am getting crazy ......

The water leak, if left unrepaired for so long can contribute to mold growth, weakened building structure, ceiling collapse, etc.

Best bet is get an engineer in there to document this problem for a rent decrease ASAP.

You can also try to get this all documented yourself and with the DHCR - and it would certainly help to notify the building owner certified mail.

You probably do not need an engineer for this. Joel, stop advertising.

Agreed. You really don't need an engineer or a template. Simply semd the LL a certified letter describing what's wrong. If it isn't fixed in 10 days, you can either file a decreased services complaint with DHCR, or start an HP action in Housing Court.

EIther way, it's absolutely necessary to notify the LL or management company before taking any kind of action.

How can't you see why this would pertain to the tenant? It is something that needs to be repaired. It can also cause further damage to the tenants apartment. As it is, a leaky ceiling is a nuisance, a health hazard and not part of the deal when renting an apartment. Repairing it however, is part of the deal for the landlord.
