My building is no longer in accordance with sanitary regulat

Postby Ironikman » Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:15 am

Hi,
I registered in the forum to report a problem in my building.

They have been out of health regulations for a few months now, but the coronavirus is still with us. Previously, there was a hydroalcoholic gel at the entrance and wearing an anti-covid mask like here https://premium-anti-pollution-mask.com/in the building was mandatory. Now the tenants are slacking off a bit. What can I do?Do I notify the landlord or do I organize a meeting between tenants?

Go here: https://www1.nyc.gov/content/tenantprot ... quarantine

Then scroll down to "If you have questions about the management of your building"
and open that up.

I don't think the LL is obligated to give tenants hand disinfectant. However you can ask the LL to comply with all CSC protection guidance. Workers must wear masks and so should tenants, but it's difficult to get tenants to do something. The LL can encourage tenant compliance by putting up signs limiting any elevators to 2 or 3 people at a time and things like that.

Yes, you can organize a tenants meeting and ask for ideas. Others might have the same concerns you have.
