Major ceiling leak

Postby spen473 » Fri May 09, 2003 11:40 am

My ceiling has been leaking for over a year now. I have notified my landlord, in writing, to fix it. He will send someone out, patch it up, and it leaks the very next time it rains or there is any precipitation whatsoever. It has been *fixed* at least 10 times in the past year. I have lived here for over 6 years and have been a loyal tenant. My dresser is ruined and now covered in a plastic tarp. My clothes have been ruined due to my belief it was *fixed* and removing the tarp. What, if anything, can i do to get compensation? I have probably lost several hundred dollars at least in replacing water-logged items. Any suggestions? I am moving out in mid-July and feel I should be compensated. Thanks.
