Does anyone know of how to/ or where one can check out a potential landlord? I've just moved from the most horrific experience of my life, and I want to avoid dealing with someone like that again.

Any legal advice or where I can obtain legal advice on setting up a website where people would be able to 'share thier own opinon' on landlords throughout nyc?
