does monthly tenant in co-op have tenant rights?

If I am a month-to-month tenant in a co-op, and the owner gives me 30 days notice, but I am unable/unwilling to leave by the date he wishes me out, and he responds by harassment, moving my possessions out, and/or changing the locks, is that illegal? Do I have the same protections under NY Tenant Rights Law/same remedies as other tenants? If not, what resources/recourse DO I have?

yes, you have rights; the rights of a month-to-month tenant. this means your LL did what he legally had to do in giving you the 30 days' notice. however, after that, it sounds like he has been taking inappropriate steps to get you out. he cannot lock you out, he cannot take your possessions, etc. what he can do is start eviction proceedings against you. but as this can take months before they can truly and legally physically remove you from the property, it sounds like your LL would rather harrass you into leaving, as it's quicker and cheaper.
