can anyone please confirm if a landlord is required by law to install a chain door guard? it appears that it is law - but i'd like to know exactly which law number. also, where can i find tenant law - actual articles and law - preferably online?

A chain on an apartment door is required by Section 27-2043(b) of New York City's Housing Maintenance Code.
