Rising Property Taxes

Postby Cranky Tenant » Fri Nov 15, 2002 9:14 pm

If the City raises property taxes, possibly as much as 25%, would that give RGB a reason to give a large guidelines increase in return?

Back on November 6th, I posted an article from the Gotham Gazette about this very issue.

Thanks for the link consigliere . It looks like this is one of those times when tenants and landlords have a very real common interest.

Of course even if owners of rent stabilized buildings are granted an increase, there's no guarantee they can actually find tenants willing to pay some of the higher rents. Preferential rents could become more common than they are now, but I'd imagine declining services will increase as well.

This city just gets harder to live in as time goes on.
