does it take NY State Govt to re-regulate NYC apartments ?

Postby enf1945 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:37 pm

how about income deregulation ?

Landlords are running amok with rent increases and are taking advantage of the housing units lost from Sandy.
There is no doubt that 1Q 2013 stats on rent increases are going to be very high.

Is it State law that must be changed to re-regulate apartments deregulated over the years because people moved, ect ?

Thats what its going to take to stop this robbery.

I feel we are all for gay rights and anti gun but what good is it if your gay and can get married but you have to move because your rent just got jacked up 20 % .

Seems no one is talking about this issue that affect hunderds of thousands and landlord stooge Christine Quinn and Bloomberg through these soda laws around that just distract from a major issue facing us.

Is it really the NY Senate that has to pass these laws ? Will Cuomo go along ? The Assembly will i think.

Best to all fighting the good fight.

Yes, the Assembly, the Senate and the Governor. And they are all cowards on rent issues, only looking at the issue when the rent laws expire.
