Question on owner selling my apt

I want to know if my landlord has to tell me he decied to sell and in writing or virble. ALSO can he still collect rent if it is in the prosess of escrow and if I dont pay since I found out that he was selling can he still evicit me? someone please help me I have been living here in the same place 4 years i am a in need of advice thanks

As far as I know, the LL is under no obligation to inform tenants that he's selling the building, though you should receive some notice about how the rent is to be paid.

Also, selling the building does not relieve tenants of their obligation to pay rent.
