30 day notice to Landlord Georgia

Postby eritenah » Wed Aug 30, 2006 12:30 pm

I have rented a home in Georgia for 11 years and intend to vacate.
I have had a 1 year lease every year however last one ended in 2004. I know I am a tenant-at-will and intend to give 30 days notice. Just want to know if that notice has to be from the first of the month or can be from anyday in the month as long as it's 30 days. The last lease I signed has no reference regarding that. Any input appreciated.thanks.

IN NY, the 30-day notice means 30 days prior to the retal payment due date. If rent is due on the 1st, it must be 30 days before the 1st of any month. NY also has specific rules about how notice is served.

Not familiar w/GA laws or their interpretation; try these links:

Georgia landlord tenant Laws, Atlanta real estate laws.
