I have never rented month to month in California, I know there can be rent increases and you can get terminated for no reason other than the landlord wants you out. It is kinda scary that there are so many laws protecting landlord's interests and very few for tenants. But on the other hand I had a horrible year with this landlord in this 1 year lease, the apartment is a piece of junk still it gives you security of rent and to not get kicked out.
Which one would be better for me?, it is just me and my cat....
