Housing Court Decisions

Postby TenantNet » Fri Sep 20, 2002 6:53 pm

We're in the process of changing the method and software to report Housing Court Decisions - some of our forum users also use this part of TenantNet. Please go to our new page (actually the same URL as before) at http://www.tenant.net/Court/Hcourt/index.html and poke around. We've populated the new database system with decisions dating back to mid-June (and continue to work backwards). Take a look at what you see and we'll appreciate your suggestions. Tell us what doesn't work (at all), doesn't work the way you might expect, or which you might wish something to work differently. We can't promise we'll implement all the suggestions, but we would like to hear them. Thanks.

You should have left things as they were.

I haven't checked to see if all of the cases for the months of June 2002 and July 2002 have been reposted in the new case-by-case format, and it is impossible to check the August 2002 cases, because the few cases previously posted for that incompleted month have been removed.

The FAST SEARCH seems to be searching decisions only in the current case-by-case format, and not in the old month-by-month format.

The link to the Full Search -- http://www.tenant.net/Court/Hcourt/search.shtml?bigsrch=1 -- isn't a valid link.

Thanks for the comment. While we don't have the pizzaz of other state of the art sites, we do need to keep up with the technology and this is the way. The old method took too long to put up. (sorry, we can't operate on keeping compatability with WebTV). All of June, July and August are now on the new system (and we'll continue to work backwards). Nothing was removed from August on the old system. The incomplete part of August (on the old system) is now on the new system. Yes, the search is limited to the new database, but we provide links to the older pages. Yes, we're aware the search isn't completely operational. Thanks.
