Why tenants should not rent out their apt using AirBnB or http://Booking.com ; they can get evicted http://goo.gl/rJdb60 . Seriously.

Ouch. Not that it's probably worth anybody's effort to try, but presumably each of her "roommates" would technically be entitled to sue her for their overcharge. With total rent around $2700, the maximum legal rent would be around $45/day (ignoring the whole "illegal to rent for less than 30 days" aspect). So, at $275/night, she was overcharging by about $230. In theory, that guy who stayed there for ten days could claim about $7k in overcharges.
