How often do they have to paint apartment?

Are there any guidelines for rent stabilized apartments about maintenance? Such as -- I heard that they have to paint the interior of your apartment every 3 years. Is this true? Does anyone know a place on line that you can look this stuff up?

Yes, every 3 years or less if it needs to be done.
