How to find out if bldg is going condo??

Does anyone know how to find out if your building is going to convert to condominiums? Are landlords required to file this information with any public agencies? There have been so many renovations - mostly cosmetic, such as putting new marble floors in the lobby and installing elaborate new video monitors in each apt - that many of the tenants here are wondering if this is the plan.
