How do I get an inspector...?

Postby twelve6 » Wed Apr 09, 2003 1:33 pm

How would I get an inspector to come and inspector my apartment if I can't get my LL to fix anything in the apartment?

call the City's Department of Housing Preservation & Development (212-824-4328) and arrange for a building inspection (investigate violations of the City's Housing Code). Could also call the City's Health Department 212-442-9666 who investigate violations of the City's health regulations.

Tell the owners you don't want to take these actions, but if they don't address the problem you have no choice.
