Wrong increases on last year's lease...

Postby jholmes5 » Tue Oct 07, 2003 10:26 am

Last year my lease indicated that the rent increases were 4 and 6% for 1 and 2 year leases respectively.

As a result I chose a 1 year lease at 4%.

Now I know that the allowed increases should have been 2 and 4%. If I had known this I would have gone with the 2 year lease. I have been signing 2 year leases for the last three cycles.

My landlord wants to refund my over payment for last year, I want the 2 year lease at the 4% rate...

Can I get the retroactive 2 year lease since the indicated increases on the lease were incorrect?
