New to NY-Finding Rent Stabalized Apt.

I am new to the city and am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to find a rent stabalized apartment, or if the laws passed a few years ago all but make it impossible.

Not impossible, but much harder. Outside Manhattan rent stabilized apts. are fairly commonoplace.
Keep in mind that I am a tenant. Not a lawyer!!!!!
