TEN DAY VACATE LETTER

Does the receipt of a "TEN DAY" letter mean you have to be out by the end of the ten days? How can a person get extended?

If you live in a rent regulated apartment, there is no basis for a notice to vacate.

Do you live in a rent regulated apartment? What did the notice say? Was any reason given for you to vacate?

No, you'll get a second notice and THEN you'll go to court.

You have the option to "cure" the wrongdoing by 10 days. No matter what it is, I would respond to the attorneys or the landlord with an acknowledgement of whatever it is that you are going to do: move out, stop the music, or state your case. If the LL wants to pursue further, LL will send you a second notice. So, no you don't have to be out in 10 days
