I pay rent. He walks all over me. What can I do?

I have been renting a furnished apt from a guy for a year. He made several verbal promises to me which he has since broken:
1. Use of bicyles. He took them back during the spring.
2. Not entering the apt without my permission. He and his girlfriend have been in my apt, on separate occaisons without my permission.
3. Stuffing my possessions into closets so he can show he apt as if noone lives there.

I spoke to him about these issues and he blew me off. Basically, he said these are things he needs to do and I should understand. Do I have rights here?

Thanks in advance for your consideration in this matter, Marcus

Is your sublet legal? If not, you have very few rights. Illegal sublets may seem like a good deal but in the long run are usually a disaster.
