I have been living in a Brooklyn loft/apt building
for 5 years. my lease just ended. I would like to
stay on and the landlord appears amenable. At this
point, a) is the landlord required to sign a new
lease w/me if he wishes me to continue renting the
apt.? b) Is there any limit (%) to the amt. he can
raise my rent for this year/new lease, and how much
notice is he required to give me of such an increase?
