Sec. 232-c. Holding over by a tenant after expiration

Postby gooturken » Thu Sep 12, 2002 4:39 pm

Can anyone explain this to me clearly? I'm confused.
I got a rent increase/new lease without enough notice. I only paid the previous rent. The following month I also only paid the previous rent.

Does this mean the new lease is invalid, bc he accepted the earlier rent (I was on a month to month tenancy before, and I still haven't signed the lease)
What rent should I pay going forward?
Thanks for all your help.
