Rent renewal notice for a non-stabilized apartment

Postby Ceca » Mon Jun 17, 2002 8:20 am

I live in a non-stablized apartment in the UES in a mostly rent stabilized building. My lease is up in the beginning of October. However two months ago I received a lease renewal notice from my landlord requiring me to respond by the end of June. Since I do not live in a rent stabilized apartment, I'd like to know if this is legal.

seems very premature. they don't need 4 months to rerent the apartment. besides which the rental market has come down significantly. you can probably find a better market rent now or renegociate your current rent on the UES.

you should be in the drivers seat on this one.
most Landlords suck it.
