Month to month tenant, rent increase

Postby Nacrelli » Fri Jul 12, 2002 2:00 pm

Can't find this info on the site, though I'm sure I've seen it before.

- What notice does a landlord have to give a month to month tenant on a rent increase?

- If a LL cashes a check for the old rent after proposing a rent increase, can they go back and demand the difference for that month later?

- "A landlord cannot unilaterally raise the rent of a month-to-month tenant without the consent of the tenant." - I found this on the site. So, if the tenant doesn't consent, what happens? Housing court? And then what?

- Where can I find the rules for month to month tenants on the site?

Thanks!
