Part G?

Postby Jeffifer » Mon May 04, 2009 1:06 pm

Hi -- I am a tenant in a holdover proceedings. I had a hearing scheduled today in Part J. I asked the clerk for an adjornment to give me time to find a lawyer, and she gave me two weeks. The adjuirment notice says to appear in Part G next time. Is that a trial part, or a pre-trial part?

One more question. My lease expired on 3/31/09. On 3/6, LL sent me a letter stating that, because I failed to return the renewal form on time, I had to leave by 3/31. On 4/3/09, he filed a holdover petition. However, he never sent me a Notice to Quit (his 3/6 letter is not called Notice to Quit, does not give me 30 days, and does not look like the form that you can purchase in a stationery store). Does that make his case defective?

Thanks,
Jennifer
