My lease expired months ago. My landlord didn't renew it, I'm guessing because I'm probably overpaying by around $150 or more.
My original lease had no 30 day notice or anything like that.
Now I need to leave my apt in the next few days (lost my job). Do I owe my landlord a 30 day notice?
I'm confused because on the one hand, Real Property Law §232-a refers only to the LANDLORD's obligation to give a 30 day notice. (and outside of NYC a tenant needs to give a month's notice).

On the other hand I saw a handful of forums where it said that the tenant owes a 30 day notice, period.
Any advice?
