Apartment as a second residence: Roommates

Postby tale » Wed Sep 01, 2010 12:55 pm

Hello,

I recently got engaged and have been splitting my time between my apartment and my fiancée’s apartment.

I am a person on a lease and I use my apartment as a second residence: am I allowed to have a roommate? Or would it be considered subletting when I am not in the apartment ?

If you are not regulated, then you are not limited by the non-primary residence rule - unless there's a provision in your lease.

A roommate is when two people share the place. A sublet is when you leave, but expect to return, and rent it to a sublet while you are gone.
