HP Action as well as supreme court case

Postby 575MidTownKid » Tue Jul 10, 2018 11:42 am

Hello,

I live in an apartment in midtown east. I currently have a case against my landlord in the Supreme court of NY regarding a rent overcharge. The tenants of my building are also getting ready to submit paperwork to begin an HP proceeding against my landlord. Would I be able to join these tenants in the HP proceeding and/or would it have any impact on my case in the Supreme Court?

TY!

Without knowing any details, I don't see why you can't join the HP as that deals with repairs and conditions, not overcharges.

But if you have a lawyer in the Supreme Court case, ask him/her.
