Seizure of home in a restitution hearing...?

Postby brhartin » Fri Sep 14, 2007 2:34 am

Under real property law or CPLR is there anything that prevents seizure for your home if that is the only property you have, from being seized in a restitution hearing for a criminal case in NYS?

Thank you

Don't know the answer to that, but this forum is for tenants' rights, not home owners. Your best bet is to get legal advice from an attorney.

As I said, this forum is for tenants' rights (why we call it TenantNet). It's not for coop, condo owners. You're asking about property rights, not tenancy rights.
