Mitchell Lama Waiting list, being kept on Hold

Postby dengt » Mon Jun 16, 2008 10:39 pm

Hello,

My number on the waiting list in one of the Mitchell Lama developments had been reached. I was very happy, had a home visit, filled out all the papers, even got a few letters to see apartments.

But then I was told by management that since my income is a little below the income limit for development, I am over limit for all the available apartments and I will be placed on hold until the apartment in my income range comes in. It has been 4 months since then, I had been calling the office and all I was told is keep waiting, we don't know/have no estimate when you will be called for apartment.

This is very frustrating and I don't know what to do? I can't wait forever considering the development might heading into privatization.

What are my options in this case? What can I do?

Thanks

No, not SBT, this is development in Bk that's also going through privatization.
