harassment from neighbor-please help!

Postby scared1 » Fri Nov 13, 2009 8:23 pm

I am a shareholder in a co-op, and I'm being harassed by another shareholder who also resides in the building. Two weeks ago, he acted out by saying very inappropriate things to me, in front of other shareholders. Also, our security system captured this on DVD (only the images not sound.) Today, when he saw me right outside the entrance of the building, he again said inappropriate things, which included "your days are numbered" in a very threatening manner.

I immedietly went to my local police precint to file a report. I'm very afraid of this man. I know to write letters about this to the board and management company, but what else can I do? Take legal action againts him and/or the co-op? Is there any office that can help me with this? Any advisement and guidance would be very appreciated, thank you.

Consult with a tenants right lawyer. That way the lawyer can fight your battles for you when this person harrasses you.
