a little advice would help alot !!!!!!

i have listed an older topic "LL GONE SOUR". long story made short, girl friend has rented a STUDENT house offcampus. I have paid the full rent with my check. i also have painted the rooms for the landlord. recently when my gf is about to finish college the landlord has told her that he will not give my deposit back.

So ihave to ue him on my gf side, i want to know if i can sue for the labor i did in tha house, and also pain and suffering (he had told my gf about 10 times that he has her evicted for no reason), also can i charge him for lawyer, and another thing he has defimated my charactor, by calling me names, and telling un true stories to other tenants. I have statments from other tenants that he has done these things. so i want to know if i have these rights to sue him for it.

ps. the house is upstate NY, in a village called delhi. the owners name is JOHN NOVIELLO, DON"T RENT FROM HIM, HE IS A LIAR.
