What happens after receiving a 3 day notice to tenant

If we received a notice last night, what happens now? We will be vacating the premises on April 30. Can I just have LL use security deposit. How with the whole ordeal affect us?

On what grounds can my landlord withhold the security deposit?

The security deposit must be returned to you with interest. Generally, the landlord can make deductions as reimbursement for the reasonable cost of repairs beyond normal wear and tear (if you have damaged the apartment); or, as reimbursement for any unpaid rent.

I WANT him to use my deposit for last month's rent. Will we be having to appear in court if he uses my deposit. We only stayed for 2 months and the LL knew that was our time frame. I don't want to pay April rent, I want him to use deposit
