deblasio nominates 5 new RGB members

could be a positive development. Maybe we've seen the last of those increases that greatly outstrip inflation and wage increases, at least for a while.

He appointed new members because there were vacancies. The press says they are more tenant-friendly, but there's no real indication this is so. In fact, one of the so-called public members works for a landlord managing company.

De Blasio said a lot of things in order to get elected, so he created expectations, many of which have been ignored or snubbed. He is very well entrenched with the real estate industry.

The RGB this year is very high, so almost anything will seem like relief.
