OT: car accident horror stories

Postby mjr203 » Thu Oct 24, 2002 4:42 pm

This is not a housing topic but I figured a lot of people may have encountered this.

I got in a car accident in bklyn this month. Completely the woman who hit me's fault. Hit me in my front and then her car sustained a lot of damage after she hit another car in the other lane and flipped over.

Police swarm the scene because it turns out the woman who blind sided me by pulling out of a parking lot between stopped cars was a police officer too.

Accident wraps up, my car in shop, waiting for accident report.

AND Waiting...
AND Waiting...
AND Waiting...
AND Waiting...

15 days later I get the accident report and it is totally tailored to make this accident seem like my fault. Saying I passed a parked school bus (total fiction) and went on the sidewalk then back in the road (again complete fiction).

Complete horse****. I am frustrated out of my mind here. I guess I am gonna have to get a lawyer and fight this with my insurance company.

Why can't the police do their jobs, play it straight and let me get on with my life.

Another reason why I prefer taking the subway.
