INFORMATION ABOUT EPIC, NY'S SENIOR PRESCRIPTION PLAN --
Assemblymember Deborah Glick is holding an EPIC Information Day on
Thursday, May 20, 1999 from 11:00am until 4:00pm at 853 Broadway,
Suite 2120 (between East 13th and 14th Streets). You will be able to
meet with an EPIC representative and receive help enrolling in this
program. To sign up or for information, call 674-5153.
LAW DAY -- Attorneys from a variety of organizations will be
available to provide free legal information and assistance. Come
with questions about landlord/tenant issues, immigration, divorce,
wills and trusts, SSI/SSD benefits or other topics. Law Day for
Manhattan is Wednesday May 5, from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Union Square
Park (14th Street side between Boradway and University Place). For

FOOD STAMPS, MEDICAID, PUBLIC ASSISTANCE -- will be distributed
through electronic benefits transfer (EBT) as of June 1999. Under
the new system, recipients will receive benefits through a debit card
which will also act as a Medicaid card. An informational forum is
being held Tuesday, May 18, 1999 from 9:30am to 11:30am at the
International Center for the Disabled, 340 West 24th Street. For

THE PUERTO RICAN TRAVELING THEATRE -- is opening a new play, Julia
Burgos, Child of the Water, with English and Spanish language
performances. Free performances of plays being developed are also

THE HUDSON RIVER PARK TRUST IS MOVING -- to a new office at North End
Avenue and Warren Street by Battery Park City. The new mailing

THE FUND FOR CREATIVE COMMUNITIES GRANT -- is available to all
non-profit organizations in Manhattan. Workshops on how to apply for
this arts grant will be held throughout Manhattan during May. For

FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL HIV TESTING -- The NYC Department of Health is
offering free testing and counseling at their clinic at 21 Old
Broadway, Room 204 (at 126th Street). Walk in hours are 8:30am to
11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. For more

MEETING ON LAGUARDIA AIRPORT SUBWAY ACCESS -- will be held at MTA
Headquarters, Fifth Floor Boardroom, 347 Madison Avenue (between East

scoping meeting will present the project's goals and some alternative
