CLINTON/HELL'S KITCHEN RESIDENTS TO HOLD MARCH/RALLY
ON NEW YORK APPLE TOURS AND TO DEMAND THAT THE CITY ENFORCE
EXISTING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

WHEN: The March will start at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25th

WHERE: on the corner of 43rd Street and Ninth Avenue by Manhattan Plaza
(where Mr. Walker resided), go up Ninth Avenue to 47th Street
and eastward to 47th and Eighth Avenue to the headquarters
        of New York Apple Tours.

Clinton/Hell's Kitchen Community Groups will hold a march and rally
Thursday, May 25th at 7 p.m. to remember the victim of this tragic
accident, Randolph Walker, to demand the City take action against New York
Apple Tours and create a meaningful plan to enforce existing traffic laws
in the neighborhood.

The march is prompted by Monday's tragic killing of local resident Randolph
Walker at the corner of 9th Avenue and 45th Street.

Community groups have long complained about the recklessness of New York
Apple Tours, but are even more concerned as to why someone had to die
before the City and local precincts finally admit they have ignored
existing traffic enforcement.

The City's announcement Tuesday that it would seek a temporary suspension
of New York Apple Tours' license to operate pending the outcome of an
existing administrative hearing is only half a solution and offers the
community little relief without adequate and meaningful enforcement.

The March is co-sponsored by: West 44th St. Block Association, West 45th
St. Block Association, West 47th-48th Streets Block Association, West 51st
St. Block Association, West 54th St. Block Association, Midtown North
Police Precinct Community Council, Manhattan Plaza Tenants Association,
Clinton Special District Coalition.
