I dunno...the legality of it depends on where you live and the local procedure. But 30 days notice is standard to end a month to month tenancy.

Of course you'd want to talk directly to her about the notice. If the situation is a screwy as your neighbors describe you would do well to bolt the situation. Find a new place that is professionally managed, and get a lease.

: i was recently served with a 30 day notice. lately from talking to other neighbors im finding out that she does this to get you to talk to her about something she is going to accuse you of doing. first can she do this? and second if the 30 day that was posted to my door isnt signed at the bottom stating they served me with it..does it stick? they usually send one in the mail too, but havent gotten it yet because my mailbox is stuck and they wont seem to get it opened for me...my roommate didnt pick up the mail when i went on vacation so its full to the max.. thanks
