This is my first year living in NYC. I live in a rowhouse, and am currently the only tenant in the building. (The LL is still in the process of fixing up the only other apartment in the building, and so it is not yet rented out.) My LL lives in Brooklyn. Regardless, am I correct that she is legally responsible for seeing that, after it has snowed out, and within 24 hours, that the stairs and sidewalk in front have a clear path for people to walk, and that if she doesn't live in the vicinity, that it is up to her to hire someone to shovel the stairs/sidewalk?
Tks!
